Tina and Pinky were very good friends. They used to go to school together and since they lived in same building both would play together as well.
Though Tina and Pinky were bright students Tina would always score better than pinky. Pinky would feel disappointed and wonder why does Tina always have upper hand in studies. But when it came to sports pinky would always come first and tina would always fall behind. But tina never felt disappointed or jealous. She would whole heartedly praise and congratulate pinky.
One day during class test tina as usual scored 10 out of 10 and pinky scored 8 out of 10. Pinky was again unhappy looking at her score. After reaching home she was sitting in her room and then suddenly thought why not she check with Tina and follow Tina’s study pattern. So she decided that now on she will always check with Tina which subject is she studying and she too will study the same subjects. Tina was very good at math and whereas pinky was good in social studies.
Next day in school the mid term exam dates where announced. Pinky immediately decided that she would study with tina. Tina happily agreed and aftr school every evening pinky would go to tinas house to study. Tina knew which subject she wanted more attention and had planned accordingly and decided to give more importance to those subjects. She told pinky the same thing that she too should plan her studies and give more importance to subjects which she is weak at. Pinky thought tina was misguiding her and was studying the same subjects what tina was studying. Since tina was good at math so shedecided that she would work on math only a day before math exam But pinky was bit slow in maths and since she was copying tinas study habits she too neglected maths. Exams started and the first subject was math. So as planned tina picked her math book and started working on various calculations a day before exam. Pinky too picked her book to solve the math calculations. But she was seeing stars. She was not able to complete even one chapter after struggling for 2 hrs. Whereas tina had already completed half of the portion.
Pinky got very nervous. She din know what to do. She started crying as she was not able to understand some topics. Tina asked pinky the reason for her outbreak. Pinky told her the reason. At this Tina said “I had told you earlier itself that you should give importance to subjects which you are weak at. But you did not listen to me”. She further said “I know you would get unhappy when I score more than you and that’s why you wanted to cooy my study pattern”.
Tin held pinkys hand and told we are good friends. Don’t let jealously come in way of our friendship. Each person is unique and each one has their own strength and weakness.
Pinky realised her mistake and hugged tina and apologised to her. Tina said “ Now wipe off your tears. I will help you with Maths”.
Tina helped pinky with her studies and pinky fared well in the exam

Laziness Never Pays
In a forest lived a squirrel.
The squirrel was very lazy and would spend most of its time sleeping or playing pranks on other animals and making fun of them.
There was an ant who was the squirrel’s neighbor. The squirrel would always make fun of the ant by saying “ Why do you always work like a slave. Why don’t you enjoy your life like me”. “ Just look at me. I enjoy my life to the fullest. What do you get by working so hard ? ”.
The ant did not speak anything as she knew there was no point talking to the squirrel.
One day there was an announcement in the forest that there would be heavy rains for the next few days. The ant decided to stock up on food so that she will have enough food to survive the harsh climate. She thought that as soon as the rain ended she may not be able to go hunting for food and hence decided to store sufficient food to last for a few months. She had food in her store room but still decided to store more food.
The ant was busy stocking up food and the squirrel as usual was playing and doing nothing.
Within a couple of days it started raining very heavily in the forest. It rained and rained. Days went by, then weeks went by, but still the rain did not stop.
The ant was safely staying at home and was not worrying much because she had sufficient food to last for a few months.
One day the ant was sipping her tea sitting by the window and enjoying the rain when she saw the squirrel running from tree to tree.
She thought the squirrel would be upto some mischief and just ignored it.
Next day when the ant was just relaxing on her couch she heard a soft thud. She ran to the window and peeped outside and she saw the squirrel lying on the ground. At first she thought the squirrel was as usual playing pranks. But she noticed that it was raining very heavily and the squirrel was not moving an inch. She got a bit worried and took her umbrella and went near the squirrel. When she reached near, she noticed that the squirrel was lying there unconscious. She hurriedly dragged the squirrel to her house. Covered him with a blanket and when the squirrel gained consciousness, she gave a hot cup of coffee to drink.
The squirrel felt ashamed of his previous behavior towards the ant and hung his head down in shame and asked for forgiveness. The ant told the squirrel that she has forgiven him and that we should always be prepared for the worst and hard work pays. She then shared her food with the squirrel until the end of rains and the squirrel changed from being lazy to being prepared and helping others.

Smart Deer
Once a upon a time there lived a deer in a forest. Once day the deer was returning home after finishing work at a nearby farm.
On the way the deer was stopped by a tiger. The tiger was hungry and wanted to kill the deer for food. The deer pleaded infront the tiger to let her go. But the tiger was adamant and din want to let go off the deer. The deer was thinking of ways to escape this situation and reach home.
Suddenly the deer realised that morning when she was going to work the deer had seen a pit near the big banyan tree.
The deer told the tiger if you leave me I wil show you a place where you will get fresh meat everyday. There is a group of cows grazing near by and the owner comes only in the evening. So you can eat to your content everyday.
The tiger agreed to this and as suggested by the deer started following the deer. Just as the deer had planned as soon as she reached near the pit the deer took a huge leap and the tiger unaware of this fell in the pit and broke his bone.
The smart deer ran home happily.
Good behaviour towards Kids.
Wow wat a lovely day. Exclaimed preeti as she woke up that morning.
She was very happy as it was her first day of summer vacation.
She happily got off the bed and ran out of her room. There she saw her parents having breakfast.
She first hugged her dad and her dad too kissed her on the forehead and wished her goodmorning.
When she turned to her mom, her mom was in a awful mood and did not respond to her in a pleasant way.
Her mom scolded her for waking up late and coming to the breakfast table without brushing or washing her face.
Preeti felt bad about how her mom behaved. She went to her room freshened up and came back to the table.
When they were having breakfast preetis mom said something to preethi’s dad and he replied to her very rudely. Her mom did not like this rude behaviour and asked her husband why did he behave so rudely. She said he could have explained to her in a better way without shouting. She further went on to say that if he scolds her infront of the kid, the kid will learn from the rude behaviour and might start treating her in the same way when she grows up.
At this preeti’s father replied : the same applies to you as well. If you have to explain anything to the kid even you need to be calm and patient. If we start scolding the kids over small things they will learn the same. He further said when preeti came to hug, you should have told her to go and brush and wash her face everyday as soon as she wakes up rather than yelling at her. This way kids will understand and listen to her.
Preeti’s mom realised her mistake and hugged preeti and apologised for her behaviour.
